Lucas Abaga Nchama Appointed Head of Bank of Central African States

Jan. 18 (Bloomberg) — Lucas Abaga Nchama was appointed governor of the Bank of Central African States known as BEAC, Cameroon Radio & Television reported, citing a press statement.

Nchama replaces Philibert Andzembe of Gabon, who was dismissed following alleged mismanagement at the bank’s Paris branch office.

The six heads of state of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community also appointed Michael Adande from Gabon as president of the Central African States Development Bank, the broadcaster reported.
