Javier Clemente may likely call back the trio…
Cameroon’s new coach Javier Clemente, 60, has promised to investigate the elimination of three veteran players from the national team by former coach Paul Le Guen.
Former first choice goalkeeper Idriss Carlos Kameni, Real Betis midfielder Achille Emana and Arsenal’s centre back Alexandre Song were struck off former coach Le Guen’s list for alleged acts of indiscipline.
But, taking command as the Indomitable Lions head coach last weekend, Clemente assured reporters that he would do his best to bring these important players back to the team.
In his schedule to resolving the crisis, the former Marseille and Real Betis manager detailed that he would be meeting the team’s captain Inter’s Samuel Eto’o to discuss the issue and then visit the three players concerned in their respective bases.
“After my investigation, if I see there had been no grave act of indiscipline, the three players would rejoin our set-up,” Clemente told reporters in Yaoundé on Saturday.
