Barcelona have rejected Samuel Eto’o's claim that he is entitled to a 15 per cent slice of his transfer fee following his summer switch to Internazionale.
The Cameroonian striker has suggested that he is entitled to a lucrative payment under the rules of Spanish football.
Eto’o and his agent, Jose Maria Mesalles, have stated that a payment of around ÂŁ2.7million was agreed as he left the Nou Camp.
Barca have shrugged off these suggestions and, speaking to Com Radio, Barca vice-president Joan Boix said: “We are prepared to go to a tribunal in order to defend our interests.
“If Eto’o wishes to continue with this subject it will be necessary to go to a tribunal and let judges decide.”
