2011 Cameroon Presidential Election – Voting Results from New York, NY, USA

Cameroonians who live in New York and surrounding where invited on election day to cast their ballots at the Permanent mission of Cameroon to the United Nations. Here are some provisional results:

Voting hours = 8am to 6pm
Votes Count start time = 6:33 pm EST

Votes counted by New York Elecam President, Mr Henry Meboe
Assisted by: Mr Kilo, Mr Amio-Priso, and another man who was writing the results on the white board. Other Elecam staff member: Ms Naomie. (All names very hard to come by…)

Number of people inside the polling station during voting = 15, including Permanent Representative of Cameroon to the United Nations Michel Tommo Monthe, 2 security guards, 2 photographers, and five more people.

Number of registered voters on the Electoral List = 57
Numbers of registered voters who voted = 53
.
Percentage of voters’ participation = 53/57 = 92.98%
.
Number of votes for Paul Biya (CPDM) = 42
Percentage of votes for Paul Biya 42/53 = 79.24%
.
Number of votes for Kah Walla (CPP) = 6
Percentage of votes for Kah Walla = 6/53 = 11.32%
.
Number of blank votes = 2
Percentage of blank votes = 2/53 = 3.77%
.
Number of votes for Nsoe Atangana (GC) = 1
Percentage of votes for Nsoe Atangana = 1.88%
.
Number of votes for Esther Dang (BRIC) = 1
Percentage of votes for Esther Dang = 1.88%
.
Number of votes for Adamou Ndam Njoya (UDC) = 1
Percentage of votes for Adamou Ndam Njoya = 1.88%
.
Witnessed in person by yours truly, in addition to about 10 other people (mostly voters), who were allowed to re-enter the polling station after 6:30pm EST to witness the Votes Count.
