Teenage forward Jacques Zoua will miss at least FC Basel 1893′s first two Group E fixtures after being ruled out for four to six weeks with torn thigh muscle fibres suffered on Cameroon duty.
FC Basel 1893 will be without striker Jacques Zoua for at least their first two UEFA Champions League Group E fixtures after he suffered a thigh injury.
The 19-year-old tore muscle fibres in training with the Cameroonian national team and has been ruled out for four to six weeks. Zoua, ever-present as Basel defeated Debreceni VSC and FC Sheriff to reach the group stage, will be unavailable for Wednesday’s trip to CFR 1907 Cluj or the 28 September visit of last season’s runners-up FC Bayern München. He is also a doubt to visit AS Roma on 19 October.
